The International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church (IDOP) will be marked In Ireland on Sunday 19 November. Churches all over the country will devote time during their services on that day to pray for the Persecuted Church.

idop-2017-bookmark-finalThe focus this year will be on Iran.

We will be praying for a church that is suffering as the Iranian government forbids Christians from meeting together and also imprisons Christians.

We will be praying for a church that is also growing as thousands of Iranians are becoming Christians.

To help us pray, we have prepared three free resources (bookmark, information sheet and PowerPoint) which detail the current situation of the church in Iran.

The information sheet contains two outlines (one for five minutes and one for more than five minutes) which can be tailored to fit in with the time available in your church service.

Will you join us?

Please ask your church leader to make time in the worship service on Sunday 19 November (if date not suitable, choose another Sunday in November) and use the order form below to order the prayer resources (Ireland & UK only).

Church in Chains is providing three resources for IDOP:

Bookmark with Prayer Points for each person in church

Information Sheet for those leading prayers (sent with each order for bookmarks)

PowerPoint slide presentation (approximately two minutes) – download here.
