We all have birthdays and while presents are great, most of us have everything we need. Many people have started to use their birthdays (and other special occasions like wedding anniversaries) as opportunities to support causes they care about. Instead of receiving gifts, you could ask your friends, family and colleagues to donate to Church in Chains instead.
In February 2024 Evelyn Truesdale (pictured with her granddaughters) celebrated a big birthday. She decided to forgo birthday presents and asked her family and friends for donations to Church in Chains instead. Evelyn raised an amazing €1,337 for our Prisoner Fund, which will support Christian prisoners around the world and their families.
In June 2021 David and Pam Wilson celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary and kindly asked for donations to Church in Chains instead of presents. They raised a whopping €4,850, which was used to provide Bibles and New Testaments in a country where they are not freely available. Congratulations on your anniversary and thank you for your support!
