NIGERIA POSTCARD CAMPAIGN

2020 Nigeria Postcard

Mass grave for Christian victims of Fulani attack in Kaduna state (Morning Star News)

SEND A MESSAGE TO PRESIDENT  BUHARI

For Christians living in the Middle Belt or northeast of Nigeria, their great lack of security has simply been heightened by Covid-19. As Christians stayed in their homes abiding by curfew and lockdown orders, extremists were able to attack without warning.

The latest report in mid-May from Nigerian NGO the International Society for Civil Liberties & Rule of Law stated that over 600 Christians had been murdered thus far in 2020 (over 500 by Muslim Fulani militants and about 100 by Boko Haram terrorists). In January another NGO, Christian Solidarity International, issued a genocide warning  for Nigeria and called on the United Nations Security Council to intervene.

The primary call of beleaguered Christian communities under constant threat is for the Nigerian federal government and President Muhammadu Buhari to take effective action to stop the killings. The Christian Association of Nigeria has complained that no prominent security operations are being carried out against the herdsmen “because they are Mr President’s kith and kin” – referring to President Buhari’s Fulani heritage.

Please stand with Nigerian Christians by encouraging others to send a postcard to President Buhari c/o of the Nigerian Embassy in Dublin because, at time of writing, postal services between Ireland and Nigeria are suspended due to Covid-19.

Dear President,
I am shocked and horrified at the news that over 600 Christians have been killed by Fulani militants or Boko Haram terrorists in 2020.
