On 19 September, Church in Chains’ partner organisation the Stefanos Foundation distributed aid in an IDP (internally displaced persons) camp in the Mushere District of Bokkos Local Government Area in Plateau State. Between May and September the Christian farming communities in the Mushere district had been under repeated attack by militant Fulani herdsmen, leaving over thirty-five people dead and 13,000 displaced. While the attacks were still ongoing, Stefanos Foundation carried out a fact finding mission in August to assess the need of the affected communities and returned with relief items on 19 September. Church in Chains contributed €6,000 to this aid distribution.
