As the Winter Olympics get underway in Beijing we would like you to pray for the many Christians in China who are suffering for their faith. Here are some prayer points:

Thank God that the church in China still continues to grow in the midst of mounting pressure. Ask the Lord to give church leaders wisdom, discernment and guidance as they lead congregations in light of increased restrictions and surveillance

Pray for blessing, hope and future for Christian families who are affected by raids and harassment from the authorities

Pray for Pastor Hao Zhiwei, Pastor John Cao, Pastor Bao Guohua and his wife Xing Wenxiang, Pastor Wang Yi, Elder Qin Defu, Pastor Zhang Shaojie, Alimujiang Yimiti and the bookseller Chen Yu who are all currently in Chinese prisons for their Christian activities.

Pray for Christians from Muslim or Buddhist backgrounds – many of whom face persecution from their families and local communities. Pray for strength, protection, encouragement and fellowship for each one.

Pray that President Xi Jinping and his government would stop repressing and mistreating Christians, Uighur Muslims and Tibetan Buddhists in China.

Pray for blessing and provision for our partner ChinaAid which continues to expose the systematic persecution of Christians.
